We were very excited to be official Media Partners for the Guardian Edinburgh International TV Festival in 2015.This prestigious event attracts the top thinkers and doers from the TV industry. We filmed virtually all the live sessions over 3 days – that’s over 65 videos – each 45 minutes duration, including the MacTaggart lecture by Armando Iannucci. . 
We took 20 second year BATV students and 7 members of staff – and a huge van full of kit! You can see what we filmed here https://www.youtube.com/user/mgeitf. In a year where the BBC had been under the microscope some of the sessions were fascinating, and for our students to be able to work in such a pressured but professional environment was an amazing opportunity for them.
